Job Title: Information Technology Director
Reports to: Chief Financial Officer
Position Purpose: The IT Director will be responsible for the implementation and operation of all technology infrastructure deployed at the Hoffman Family of Companies, which includes network operations, server and storage, cybersecurity, enterprise applications, company phones and voicemail, office machines, support and training, endpoint management, and other technologies, all while working in in a fast-paced and demanding environment. The ideal candidate will be skilled in prioritization, clear communications, analysis, assessment, people management, project management and solution development.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business leaders to ensure IT supports business operations.
- Ensure that the Companies are undertaking IT best practices, including utilizing the proper software and hardware to keep our businesses both competitive and secure.
- Train our employees to understand and how best to use technology within our organization and model their behavior to avoid security / fraud threats.
- Oversee a Help Desk ticket system and its operation.
- Liaison with IT, office machine and phone vendors to ensure the Companies are getting competitive pricing and outfitting our systems with the right technology.
- Engage with staff and managers about their IT needs, assist them to effectively utilize IT offerings and company software, and develop customized systems when necessary.
- Respect and protect Company, customer and employee proprietary and/or confidential information.
- Maintain emergency and backup systems for all servers and perform periodic system checks.
- Oversee the ordering and maintenance of IT equipment, software, hardware, and data processing resources.
- Install, configure and deploy new hardware; perform software upgrades and maintenance.
- Identify infrastructure weaknesses (including by means of auditing and testing) and areas for improvement in security and performance
- Create business cases for necessary investments and manage projects at all levels.
- Provide management and direction to IT team members to advance department goals.
- Identify opportunities for team training and skills advancement.
- Scrutinize IT spending to ensure maximum impact.
- Perform such other IT and Management tasks as assigned by Executive Management.
Position Requirements:
- Associates degree or equivalent professional experience in information technology or a closely related field is required. A Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a closely related field is preferred.
- Five or more years demonstrated successful experience in information technology management.
- Competency in Office 365.
- Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems.
- Hands-on experience with managing people, computer networks, network administration and network installation.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at one time.
- Proven experience in migrating and upgrading operating systems and applications.
- Experience with various office machines including copiers, printers, fax machines, etc.
- Service-oriented self-starter who takes initiative.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to not only prioritize, but to quickly shift gears and re-prioritize.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to write clear and concise user communications, policies, and processes.
- Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends.
- Ability to travel occasionally, with some overnight stays.
