POSSITION SUMMARY
The Food Expeditor ensures that all food orders have been properly prepared before delivering them to the table.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Ensures that food is being prepared correctly and cook times are being followed
- Monitors food quality to ensure Lucille’s standards and presentation are being followed
- “Sells” complete checks to tables without missing items
- Opening, closing and side work procedures are completed while maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout shift
- Communicates needs between front-of-house team members and kitchen team
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed
- Continuous use of hands and arms
- Continuous reaching, bending, abrupt stopping, stooping, lifting, stirring, pouring, and carrying
- Ability to be on your feet for an extended period of time
- Ability to work in heated or cooled temperatures for prolonged periods of time
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to speak, read, and write English
- Basic math skills
- Basic computer skills; able to use and understand the restaurant’s QSR system
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
