Position Title Plumber Position Number 899237 School / Division Plant Operations Department Full-Time or Part-Time Full-Time Description Reporting to the Assistant Director of Physical Plant, the Plumber must be fully versed in all aspects of commercial and residential plumbing.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Possesses working knowledge of water supply, waste systems, fire suppression sprinklers, irrigation sprinklers, fire hydrants, and dry wells.
- Demonstrates knowledge in clearing waste lines with snakes, blow bags, plungers, and Jetta’s.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- A valid New York State Driver’s License required.
- Must work well in a customer-based environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Town of Hempstead / Village of Hempstead Master Plumber’s License preferred.
- Backflow Prevention Device Testing Certificate.
- Suppression Sprinkler Maintenance Certificate.
