*Job Overview*
Join our team as a Banquet Captain and lead the way in orchestrating flawless events and banquets. As a Banquet Captain, you will oversee the coordination of banquet operations, ensuring that each event is executed seamlessly. Your role will be pivotal in delivering exceptional service and creating unforgettable experiences for our guests. This role will be the key liaison between the Sales Department and the F&B Department.
*Duties*
- Supervise banquet staff, including servers, bartenders, and support staff, to ensure smooth event execution
- Coordinate with the culinary team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of food and beverages
- Maintain a high level of customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving any issues promptly
- Oversee the setup and breakdown of banquet spaces, ensuring they meet the standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Maintain updated inventories of all Banquets/Events OS&E and communicate needs to management
- Implement food safety practices and adhere to all hospitality industry regulations
- Collaborate with event planners and clients to customize banquet setups according to their preferences
- Responsible to open/post(close) all Banquets/Events BEOs
- Be the main liaison between Sales/Catering and F&B departments
*Requirements*
- Previous experience as a hotel Banquet Captain is required
-Marriott brand banquets/events supervision is strongly desired
- Proficiency in banquet event software, such as CI/TY is advantageous
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively
- Excellent communication skills to interact with guests, staff, and vendors professionally
- Knowledge of fine dining etiquette and service standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Understanding of inventory management principles in a banquet setting
