Operations Analyst
Location: East Chicago, IN (On-site)
What We’re Looking For:
You have a strong work ethic, are reliable, and consider yourself a go-getter. In this role, you will support manufacturing and management by performing data analysis to model data with the goal of discovering useful trends to support decision-making. You will work with shop floor Leaders, Production Engineers, and Design Engineers to develop effective countermeasures. By utilizing data you will assist in finding proactive approaches to improve training to prevent repeat problems in manufacturing processes.
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred
- Proficient Computer skills - using Microsoft Office
- Ability to think critically and analyze complex problems
- Ability to communicate effectively, including the ability to read, write, and speak English clearly
- Ability to pass pre-employment background checks and drug screening
- Authorized to work in the United States
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Work to improve (Kaizen) manufacturing processes by improving safety, quality, productivity, and reducing costs.
- Collect and analyze operations data to determine weak points and opportunities for improvement.
- Use data to identify root cause(s) and suggest/implement countermeasures.
- Complete proposals and regularly present status updates on projects.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues as needed.
- Interact with associates to find ways to make their jobs easier.
- Job shadow and network in different areas throughout the organization.
- Act as liaison between manufacturing and other departments as needed (engineering, purchasing, project management, quality, and safety).
