ABOUT THE ROLE
PURPOSE
Primary responsibilities include assisting in production functions and plant maintenance.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Subject to applicable law, employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
- Assist in maximizing performance of stationary equipment by performing repairs and preventive maintenance.
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environment and areas.
- Understand and comply with Environmental and Health & Safety policies to assure that environmental, health and safety are the first priority
- Ensure all work areas are clean, tidy and organized at all times
- Assist Plant Supervisor and operators as assigned.
- Conduct pre-shift safety inspections of equipment and work areas.
- Operate equipment safely and effectively.
- Must understand equipment functions and processes of the primary areas.
- Assist with raw material handling needs.
- Assist with river operations when required.
- Other duties as assigned.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Preferred Education: High School diploma/GED
Required Work Experience:
- Skid Steer Loader equipment experience preferred
- Knowledge of products, industry terminology
Required Computer and Software Skills: General computer proficiency
