What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bartender (HIG) position at Holiday Inn Atlanta-Gas South Hotel?
Our Bartenders work directly with customers by mixing and serving drink orders as well as appetizer/food orders. Their responsibilities include verifying age requirements, knowing alcohol pairing and tastes, knowing how to make traditional and classy drinks, processing payments, managing inventory and cleaning bar supplies.
Essential Job Functions
- Greets guests, explains special of the day, explains menu using concise and articulate language, and listens and responds to questions.
- Upselling appetizer, entrée and dessert menu items by describing each item in an appetizing way.
- Picks up and delivers orders to the guests at the table within the prescribed time limits, ensuring the accuracy of the order.
- Returns to the table throughout the guests visit to ask if guests are satisfied, check for refills, suggestive selling of additional items and clear items from the table, and delivers the check.
- Always be on time for scheduled shifts.
- Capable of answering phones and placing to-go orders. Handles all phone calls that come into the restaurant with a friendly voice.
- Pay is hourly rate (based on experience) tips
