The Holiday Inn Express & Suites Alcoa - Knoxville Airport is seeking either a full-time or part-time team member to cover, at minimum, 2 night audit shifts a week. Additional hours can be provided to become full time. While previous experience is beneficial, we are willing to train a friendly, customer service oriented candidate. The Night Auditor manages the hotel's Front Desk during the overnight shift, ensuring the safety and comfort of our guests. The Night Auditor is responsible for completing the daily audit process according to IHG company operating policies and procedures. This process includes, but is not limited to completing and transmitting the Daily Report that includes total revenue, cash, credit, receivables and room statistics. The position follows safety and security procedures, handles financial transactions accurately and maintains required systems and records. Please apply online with resume.
Primary Responsibilities
- Audit, post and balance daily cashiers work for hotel
- Accurately post all room fees, related taxes and other paid services including restaurant, lounge, internet, resort fees, and the like to each guest’s account
- Verify all account entries are balanced; notate and settle any discrepancies uncovered in audit to appropriately settle guest accounts
- Ensure hotel billing standards are followed and create financial reports that detail various aspects of the hotel’s performance; distribute to the appropriate departments
- Ensure credit card system reconciles to daily transaction lists
- Verify cash posting and verify cashiers drop to ensure accuracy
- Ensure daily turn of hotel and paperwork associated with all transactions is compiles and organized as set forth by management
- Greet and processes guests as they check-in/out
- Complete registration, secure payment, verify billing and adjust billing as needed
- Confirm guest information, room rate, selection of room(s)
- Code electronic keys
- Assists guests with reservations and requests in a friendly, professional and timely manner
- Field guest complaints, conduct research and resolve and negotiate solutions for guest satisfaction
- Provide high standards of quality to ensure guest satisfaction
- Anticipate guests’ needs and consistently exceed their expectations
- Implement creative solutions as needed while complying with brand standard
- Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of hotel information including but not limited to:
- Hotel Information
- Room categories
- Room rates
- Packages
- Promotions
- Build strong relationships with guests, colleagues, clients and groups while maintaining professional integrity
- Possess knowledge of local area to answer guest questions

Pay: $11.00 - $13.00 per hour
