Holiday Inn Express, Abilene Mall South is seeking a part time on the weekends Laundry Attendant to join our team. The Laundry Attendant will be responsible for ensuring that all hotel linens, towels, and other items are clean, fresh, and ready for use by our guests. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Sort and pre-treat all linens, towels, and other items according to brand standards and local health regulations.
- Operate commercial washers and dryers to clean and sanitize all hotel linens, towels, and other items.
- Fold and organize all linens, towels, and other items according to brand standards and local health regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized laundry room, including sweeping, mopping, and wiping down all surfaces.
- Manage inventory and order supplies as needed to ensure that we always have adequate stock of laundry detergent, fabric softener, and other cleaning supplies.
- Follow all safety and sanitation protocols, including wearing gloves and masks, as required by the brand and local health regulations.
- Complete other tasks as assigned by the General Manager.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in laundry or housekeeping is preferred but not required.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a high level of quality.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well with others.
