Banquet Captain

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Banquet Captain to join our team. As a Banquet Captain, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of banquet events, ensuring exceptional service and customer satisfaction. This is a leadership role that requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Duties:
- Coordinate and supervise banquet staff during events
- Set up banquet rooms according to event specifications
- Ensure proper table settings, linens, and decorations are in place
- Assist with food and beverage service as needed
- Monitor event timelines and ensure smooth execution of all activities
- Address any customer concerns or issues promptly and professionally
- Maintain inventory control of banquet supplies and equipment
- Assist with menu planning, food production, and kitchen management
- Handle cash handling procedures accurately and securely
- Utilize Aloha POS system for order processing and payment transactions

Requirements:
- Previous experience in a banquet or catering environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of coffee service techniques and standards
- Familiarity with inventory control procedures
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
- Must be able to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods of time
