What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Maintenance Technician position at Holistic Industries?
This role is critical to the company’s continued growth and drive toward being the best operational company in the cannabis industry. Reporting to the Chief Engineer for the facility to which he/she is assigned, the Maintenance Technician will work to oversee access, security, maintenance and services of the cultivation and processing facility to ensure optimum facility operation daily that provides for the work needs of the organization and its employees. In coordination with the Chief Engineer/FM for their assigned facility, the Maintenance Technician performs preventive maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, industrial systems, equipment and grounds. He /she utilizes several trade skills and should be proficient in areas such as procurement carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating and cooling and able to communicate clearly to customers and supervisors.

Performs general preventive maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, industrial systems, equipment and grounds. Working under close supervision, assists in monitoring building system operations and performance. Utilizes several trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating and cooling.

Complies with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and Company directives related to building operations and work safety.

Performs assigned day-to-day repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance. Completes maintenance and repair records as required.

Assists with installation and modification of building equipment systems.

Assists with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems to include: plumbing systems, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, shop, and HVAC.

Inspects new installation for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.

Maintains lighting systems throughout the facility, cleaning fixtures and replacing bulbs and lamps.

Maintains grounds of facility or property performing such tasks as raking, sweeping, leaf blowing or snow removal.

Responds quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed.

Performs other duties as assigned.

*On-call responsibility for emergency maintenance 24/7.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: LIGHT OFFICE LIFTING. Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 75 pounds (up to about 120 pounds with assistance), may include walking or standing for extended periods of time, as well as stooping, bending over and/or crouching. Ability to tolerate moderate to loud exposure to noise level. Exposure to long periods of bright lights. Long periods of prolonged use of office equipment including computers and phones.
About You:
General

Regulations require that incumbent be at least 21 years of age and able to obtain and maintain state marijuana work credentials.
Education/Experience
-
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and two or more years’ experience in electrical systems, refrigeration and/or HVAC. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience reviewing and understanding architectural plans for buildings and facilities including placement of power, networking, and other key areas with respect to the installation of packaging equipment and machinery in a manufacturing plant

Ability to understand and discuss architectural plans with construction and architectural consultants and contractors
Certificates and/or Licenses:

Universal CFC certification a plus

Additional certification in one or more of the following: HVAC, electrical, mechanical, HVAC and refrigeration systems, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry or engine repair

Certifications/licenses as may be required by local or state jurisdictions
