$15.86 - $17.33 PER HOUR

Anticipated Start Date: August 28, 2024
REPORTS TO: Transportation Coordinator, Director of Business and Finance
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Monitor provides specially designed support strategies for specialized transportation needs (including functional adaptive social and behavioral skills, crisis management and coordination).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Assist Special Needs Students loading and unloading of vehicle
· Must be able to help students into seats/car seats
· Ensure safe seating during transport
· Provide restraint as needed in accordance with district policies and legal mandates
· Assist drivers as needed for pre- and post-trip inspections
· Other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE OF
· child development and challenges faced by students with learning or substantial disabilities
· interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy
QUALIFICATIONS
· evidence of ability to perform each essential function satisfactorily
· High school diploma

· Hours- reflective of regional transportation schedule (1 hour before/after school hours)
· The Bus Monitor is employed on an annual basis based on the number and placement of students requiring support and the evaluation of the building principal or assistant principal.
· Hourly rate of pay as determined by current contract. Approved CORI and Fingerprinting results
Terms of Employment
