POSITION SUMMARYForecasting and Business Planning: Responsible for sales forecasting, inventory management, business analysis and account service.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor assigned accounts' demand driven forecasts relative to overall financial plan
- Provide analytics on various market influencers that effect overall revenue and margin for each account.
- Collaborate with sales, customers and international planning team on forecasting and planning efforts to produce an accurate forward shipment and financial forecast.
- Develop forecasts for new items - unit and timing requirements.
- Responsible for assigned account forecast accuracy and order fill rate
- Prepare monthly forecast performance: budget vs. actual - unit, revenue, and margin reporting.
- Proactively manage forecast and inventory flows to mitigate potential end-of-life inventory issues and short shipments.
- Provide ad hoc analysis for sales, customer, Director of Planning and SVP of Planning.
- Comply with company safety policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Other projects & duties as assigned by Director and SVP of Planning.
REQUIRED SKILLS OR EDUCATION
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Strong analytical & organizational skills
- Strong CPFR skills in International Supply Chain
- Technical approach to problem solving
- Excellent oral communication and written skills
- Self-motivated and able to work alone
- Able to multitask
- Must have a deep hunger to learn and grow.
- Must have a willingness to experiment in order to learn.
PREFERRED SKILLS OR EDUCATION- 2 years of experience managing demand forecasts and inventory replenishment
- Master's in business administration or similar graduate degree
- Experience with Logility Demand Planning software
- Financial/logistics modeling experience
- Experience with large-scale retailers' forecasting systems and methodology (Bed Bath & Beyond, JCP, Kohl's etc.)
