Job Posting for Engineering Technician at Holley Performance Products Inc
Holley Performance Products seeks an experienced Engineering Technician for our hotrod/custom car shop at Detroit Speed and Engineering. The candidate should be a well-rounded engineer with good general knowledge of all automotive systems. This person is preferred to be an automotive enthusiast with the skills, knowledge, and passion to build cars at the highest level. This position aims to support the engineering department by disassembling and measuring development vehicles, fabricating, assembling, and installing components, setting up and maintaining test vehicles, and assisting with development testing.
Key Job Elements (Essential Functions Performed):
- Assembly, modification, and fabrication of components and vehicles
- Measurement of vehicles and components
- Development/test vehicle setup, repair, and maintenance
- Product development and testing support
- General tasks within the department.
- Have a clear understanding of the company’s policies and vision and how the engineering department contributes to these.
- Implement best safety practices to keep compliant with OSHA.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications (Education/Experience required):
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience with custom car building/modification, performance chassis setup, and general auto repair. Metal fabrication and welding skills. Metrology experience a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to handle physical requirements, including but not limited to, repeated bending stretching, twisting, and lifting up-to 75lbs.
