What will I do as a Blow Mold Technician?

Set up, monitor and maintain ISBM production equipment, maintaining supply of production materials, inspecting parts, and various other tasks, all with a major emphasis on quality and safety.

  • Inspects equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignment; performs required adjustments and maintenance.
  • Machine setup, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting.
  • Performs bottle inspections.
  • Perform machine scheduled Preventative Maintenance.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities.
  • Maintain support equipment (compressors/dryers/pumps)

What are the qualifications for this position?

  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Hands on experience in the plastic industry (injection, blow, extrusion, or roto mold)
  • Hydraulic experience - preferred is a plus
  • Ability to safely lift 70lbs

  • Hollowick Inc provides exceptional work-life balance and has an immediate opening for an Automation Technician that will focus on plastic molding and manufacturing automation.
  • Primary responsibility performing changeovers and setup on Plastic Injection and Blow Molding processes, working closely with the process owner. The ideal candidate will take lead and become process owner in this area within 6-12 months.
  • Secondary responsibility being part of the team supporting automation and troubleshooting of various production equipment.
  • Full-time: $20.00 - $24.00 /hr. plus benefits

Job Description:

  • Responsible for the smooth operation of assigned equipment.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and provide solutions to issues. Document responses in an organized manner and develop PM plan to avoid recurring issues.
  • Arrange & organize 3rd party resources for facilities equipment (ex. compressors, chillers)
  • Document and support standard work instructions and operator training.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area,
  • Support company policies/procedures and additional responsibilities as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Ability to safely lift 50lbs
  • Computer competency in Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent
  • Proven desire and capacity to learn in a manufacturing environment
  • Mutual respect of all team members

The following qualifications and skillsets are helpful but not required:

  • Associates Degree in Engineering Technology, Machine Design or equivalent
  • Blow molding or injection molding experience
  • Manufacturing, automation, or machining experience
  • SolidWorks or equivalent CAD training or experience
  • Process Ownership
  • Blow and/or injection molding processes
  • PLC, HMI, Servos, Cams, Pneumatics, Stepper motors & drives
  • Troubleshooting & strategic problem solving
  • Data recording, processing, and reporting
  • Preventive maintenance and contingency planning

CoVID-19 considerations: All Interviews will be required to follow CDC guidelines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
