ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary at Hollywood and 1st Jackpot Casino: 

 

  • Assist leadership team with Casino Operations administrative duties to include, though not be limited to payroll, timekeeping, daily reports, staffing and scheduling. 
  • Schedule appointments, set up conference calls, schedule leadership meetings and other duties requested by the Director. 
  • Answer telephones, field and direct calls to the proper department or person, receive and distribute daily mail, and will direct paper and electronic communications received and distribute accordingly. 
  • Will create communication pieces with little or no direction. 
  • Will handle confidential material for the department and Director. 
  • Maintain and track Slot Response time through the Floor Spy program. 
  • Complete and process all payroll, including but not limited to PTO, Leave, salary increases, transfers, promotions, and payroll adjustments. 
  • Track all paperwork regarding team member performance review, time off, transfers promotions, etc. for the department. 
  • Partner with HR to ensure all department/property changes in policies and procedures as it relates to Casino Operations and the property are communicated. 
  • Attend monthly Safety meetings and conduct monthly safety duties. 
  • Maintain and track all purchase requisitions for Casino Operations through Coupa or other internal processes. 
  • Assist in maintaining par levels and inventory for Casino Operations, i.e. cards, dice, table layouts. 
  • Assist with competitive shops to include phone, spreadsheet updates and property visits. 
  • Assist with data entry regarding slot moves, conversions, and edits for the department, as well as auditing the slot floor for accuracy when needed. 
  • Adhere to, interpret, support, and explain established company policies and procedures as well as applicable local, state, federal and other regulatory procedures.  
  • Maintain the strictest confidence of all confidential and proprietary information. 
  • Assist Team Member with questions and concerns and advise leadership.    
  • Fosters and maintains positive team member relations in a supportive environment and interfaces with other departments to ensure a harmonious working relationship. 
  • Creates and Facilitates Casino Operations Department Training for new hires.  
  • Maintains a high level of professional appearance, demeanor, ethics, and image of self and subordinates. 
  • Attends departmental meetings as well as other related meetings. 
  • Completes necessary reports in a timely manner to meet deadlines. 
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience. 
  • Three to five years’ experience in office administration. 
  • Casino experience preferred. 
  • Knowledge of various software programs such as Excel, Power Point  
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and guest service skills 
  • Excellent organizational skills 
  • Ability to interpret and explain company policies and procedures to others.  
  • Fully Competent in Microsoft Office 
  • Ability to sustain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism. 
  • Ability to maintain a high level of energy and take a proactive and strategic approach to dealing with team member relations issues.   
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organizations. 
  • Uses diplomacy and tact to build constructive and effective relationships including during high-tension situations.  
  • Ability to obtain support for ideas and actions from subordinates, peers, or superiors in order to accomplish a task or goal.   
  • Uses time efficiently and effectively to manage priorities. 
  • Deals with simple and complex concepts effectively. 
  • Ability to prioritize duties and responsibilities. 
  • Ability to follow all policies, procedures, and regulations including but not limited to dependability, , appearance, safety, and security policies.

  • Must successfully pass background check and obtain required state regulatory license. 

 

  

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES                    

This Team Member does not have Supervisory responsibilities 

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS  

Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also be required. 

 

REASONING ABILITY  

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. 

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS 

Team member is required to obtain and maintain a Gaming Commission License

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
