General Statement of Function
This position provides technical support, troubleshooting and maintenance for Banner and oracle Database in supporting business processes of the college. The position works closely with individual departments on a daily basis.
(While this position will be housed on the Goodman Campus for an initial training period to be determined by the Director of Information Technology, there would be flexibility to work from another campus location once that training period is successfully completed )

Job Description
- Investigate, plan, implement, test, and debug the college’s database.
- Conduct needs assessment with departmental representatives and review current process to determine programming requirements.
- Create database views, scripts, triggers and storing procedures.
- Perform problem resolution and provides support for programming issues.
- Communicate technical guidance and information to users.
- Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree; at least 2 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
OR
Associate’s degree; at least 4 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
OR
Associate’s degree; at least 4 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Licenses, Certificates or Registrations
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to troubleshoot a complex database system.
- Knowledge of SQL, PLSQL, and Oracle database is required.
- Experience working and troubleshooting Banner and other Sunguard products is preferred.
- Ability to provide high-level internal customer service.
- Ability to plan, implement, test, and troubleshoot system software.
- Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
- Knowledge of computer security procedures and protocol.
