Job Summary: This position is responsible for entry-level accounting processes, reporting, and accurate record-keeping in assigned areas.
Entry-level position – Generally has up to three years of experience and/or demonstrated job-relevant knowledge/skills. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job; works under immediate supervision.

Qualifications and Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Degree preferred, focus on Accounting or Finance preferred
- Up to three years of experience preferred
- Knowledge of business accounting principles, budget preparation, and strong business acumen
- Knowledge of GAAP (generally accepted accounting principles) as it applies to the industry and company
- Proficient in the use of computer programs and systems utilized by the company (DBS, CODA, Sage100c, Clarity, Microsoft Dynamics, Excel, etc.)
- Strong research, problem solving and investigation skills
- Strong interpersonal communication skills including both written and oral
- Ability to work in fast paced environment with frequent interruptions
- Excellent interpersonal skills to establish working relationships with multiple departments and various levels of the organization
- Excellent organizational, planning, multi-tasking, and time management skills, deadline oriented
- Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
Essential Functions:
- Prepares monthly and year end journals to be reviewed by supervisor
- Adhere to all Company deadlines and reporting requirements as set by management or from Federal, state, and local rules and regulations
- Investigates and resolves balance sheet reconciling items on a timely basis
- Assists with preparing internal financial reports and complete special projects as assigned Finance Managers and Leadership
- Provides accounting assistance to business units and respond to financial questions/concerns to meet business needs
- Works safely always and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
- Performs other duties as assigned
