Job Posting for Truck Service Technician - Shop at HOLT Truck Centers
HOLT Truck Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma is hiring a Truck Service Shop Technician. This position is responsible for providing truck engine and/or chassis repair service to respond to customer needs in a positive, caring, and timely manner. Must build rapport with customers through technical expertise and quality service on equipment so, that service value is received. This position requires a self-motivated, thoughtful individual with a high energy level who can work alone or with others in a shop environment.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5 years of experience in engine and/or chassis repair is required.
- Must be able to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems.
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Class A or B CDL – Preferred
- Must be able to pass a DOT Physical
- Working knowledge of Caterpillar, Detroit Diesel, Mercedes Benz, Maxx Force, Volvo, Cummins, and Hino engine repair.
- Working knowledge of Allison Automatic Transmission repair.
- Must have own tools.
- Eaton Auto Shift and Eaton Manual Transmission experience are required.
- Ability to use computerized equipment for researching issues and troubleshooting
Education:
- High school or GED preferred
- Diesel Engine Technical schooling preferred

- Candidate must be self-motivated and thoughtful with a high energy level who can work alone or with others in a shop environment.
- Must be capable of performing complex repairs correctly.
- Must have interpersonal skills sufficient to engage with customers, vendors, and peers to exchange information, motivate, influence, and persuade.
- Must present a positive attitude with customers and co-workers as well.
