What are the responsibilities and job description for the Obstetric Gynecology Physician position at Holy Redeemer Health System?
SUMMARY OF JOB:
Assists members of the Medical Staff’s Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in providing quality medical and obstetric care by obtaining and recording history and physical examinations, performing specific medical procedures and assessing, reporting status of patients’ condition to attending and intervening as appropriate with urgent and emergent obstetrical care. Abides by the Ethical Religious Directives for Catholic Health Care and demonstrates the values of Holy Redeemer in all staff, patient and family interactions.

RECRUITMENT REQUIREMENTS/LICENSE AND REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS:
• Graduation from an accredited school of Medicine or Osteopathy
• Board Eligible or Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Current PA State Licensure as M.D. or D.O.
• Current DEA license
• Attending privileges on HRH Medical Staff
• Obtains and maintains certification by National Certification Corporation in Electronic Fetal Monitoring
• Considerable degree of independent judgment is necessary to monitor and respond to changes of a patient’s condition.
• Interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients and all members of the health care team.
• Demonstrates flexibility and strong character
• Must have good manual dexterity for performance of procedures
• Must be able to use good body mechanics and be able to lift, bend, twist
• Must be able to obtain third party payor credentialing for HRH/HRPAS participating health plans
