SUMMARY OF JOB: Responsible for providing secretarial services to the Senior Vice President/Chief Medical Officer and the Medical Staff Office. Responsible for assembling material for reports for various Medical Staff Committees; arranging meetings; handling correspondence and various reports including information which is highly confidential; informs the Senior Vice President/Chief Medical Officer of all activities, events and meetings. Responsible for coordinating Hospital Clinical Rotations/Observations of Medical Staff. Responsible for coordinating the Continuing Medical Education activities of the Medical Staff with input from the Chair of the Education Committee, Chief Medical Officer of Holy Redeemer Hospital & Medical Center, and Supervisor. Responsible to assist the Chair of Institutional Review Board and performs essential functions of the Institutional Review Board Coordinator. Responsible for providing secretarial services to the Division Chief of Hospital Medicine in support of the hospitalist program. Responsible for distribution and maintenance of hospital Emergency Department Call Schedule. Responsible for various safety/quality improvement reports, correspondence, etc. Must be able to interact with all levels of hospital personnel.

RECRUITMENT REQUIREMENTS:
High school graduate; post graduate business office training desirable (equivalent training and experience may be acceptable)
Ability to prioritize projects
Good organizational skills
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally
Ability to handle frequent interruptions
Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and conversations
Knowledge of computer and dictation equipment
Medical terminology required
Good interpersonal and teamwork skills
