Responsibilities
- The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator maintains an efficient and accurate flow of inventory into the warehouse. Tasks include:
Directing freight drivers to receiving bays and verifying paperwork and packing lists.
Verifying the style, color, and quantity of delivered product.
Creating serial labels for products.
Ensuring an accurate computer inventory of received product.
Assisting with order discrepancies when needed.
- To prepare the warehouse teams for incoming shipments, the Shipping and Receiving Coordinator posts daily truck scheduling and communicates with incoming trucks.
- The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator communicates with the Purchasing team and furniture vendors to improve inventory accuracy and item descriptions.
- The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator assists operations staff by answering telephones, processing paperwork, ordering supplies, and other administrative duties.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Experience: One to three months related experience preferred.
Physical Demands: Moderate physical demands required. The employee will occasionally push, pull, and/or lift up to 75 pounds.
Other: Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
