Durable Medical Technician-

Home Care Equipment-Wichita

This employee is responsible for equipment setups, durable medical equipment, ramp installations and medical oxygen.

Job Responsibilities:

• Instruct new equipment set ups and complete orientation checklists and other necessary paperwork as required.
• Instruct patients in the safe and proper use of equipment
• Perform minor equipment repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Maintain company vehicle in a clean and orderly manner
• Make daily inspections and complete the proper paperwork
• Maintain established preventative maintenance schedule
• Clean rental equipment, when returned to the center, in accordance with current policies and procedures.
• Know and follow policies as indicated in HCE policy procedure manual, including, OSHA (includes the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment), DOT (includes adherence to the Vehicle Safety Disciplinary Policy), FDA, and Emergency Planning
• Rotate as on-call service representative evenings and weekends on an as scheduled basis

Qualifications:

• Must be 21 years of age
• A minimum of a GED or High School graduate.
• must have good interpersonal, verbal, and writing skills (legible)
• must be self-motivated, dependable and solid organizational skills
• Must maintain a valid D/L while employed
• must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 120 pounds

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
