GENERAL SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of the site Team Leader or Supervisor:

  • Performs OT evaluation and treatment patient care duties as appropriate.
  • Communicates effectively with patients, coworkers, physicians, and other system employees as needed regarding patient care needs and adequately documents all aspects of patient care.
  • Supervises/delegates to Assistant, and tech as appropriate.
  • Completes necessary and accurate patient billing information.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Master's Degree, preferred.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

  • Current State of Michigan Registration and National board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) certification.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Patient care setting with potential exposure to communicable disease.
  • Limited noise
  • Temperature Fluctuation is possible
  • Dust is possible.
