This opportunity will be based in our corporate headquarters in Needham, MA and follow our hybrid work model: three days working onsite and two remote working days.

OVERVIEW OF ROLE

The Master Data Analyst is responsible for creating and maintaining master data in key systems (NAV, GDSN and Customer Portals). This role will partner with various other departments within HMF (supply chain, marketing, R&D, regulatory, finance, sales operations, IT etc.) as well as external customers to ensure data accuracy and integrity.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work cross-functionally to process all new and modify existing master data within key systems including Microsoft NAV ERP. This data includes but is not limited to items, bill of materials, formulas, item cross references, and customer cross references.
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis related to master data and collaborate with other departments to identify data errors and ensure data integrity.
  • Perform regular data cleansing to ensure accuracy including but not limited to completing and removing SKU rationalization of items/raw materials from ERP system.
  • Set up of raw materials for procurements - raw materials, packaging
  • Establish policies and controls to ensure the data is accurate and complete.
  • Develop communication and training plans needed to implement policies and controls.
  • Work closely with other functions (supply chain, marketing, R&D, regulatory, finance, sales operations, customer service, IT etc.) as needed to ensure adherence of master data policies and consistency across various systems.
  • Assign all HMF New Items numbers
  • Working with Data and Analytics Team develop and maintain consistent product naming and group conventions
  • Work with and assist ERP Project leads with data cleansing and preparing our data for migration
  • Create all master case and unit UPC's for all new items to ensure integrity and uniqueness across all products and categories
  • Work cross-functionally internally and externally to process all new and modify existing master data within GDSN (Global Data Synchronization Network).
  • Continuous training within GDSN and Customer Portals to service and provide guidance on the latest guidelines that affect the HMF businesses.
  • Process all new and modify existing master data with customer specific portals (example: Walmart Retail Link, Target POL, Kroger VIP, DOT Foods, Wakefern, Albertson's, etc.)
  • Develop communication for external and internal guidance to notify of new items and modifications of items to ensure compliance.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in information science, data management, computer science or related field preferred.
  • 2-4 years Master Data, or analyst experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Team player with strong collaborative communication skills who is able to work well across departments
  • Experience using Microsoft NAV or Business Central a strong plus
  • Self-starter who is flexible and a quick learner with strong attention to details
  • Strong business acumen combined with strong communication, consultative, problem-solving, multi-tasking, and project management skills.
  • Experience using Jet Reports a plus
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite: (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook).
  • English language skills: Able to read, write, speak and comprehend English.

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced work environment where a broad range of tasks may be required

· Will communicate accurate information to colleagues regularly

  • Must have good vision and manual dexterity.
  • Able to sit / stand for prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer.

· Will be required to occasionally move about inside the office to access meeting rooms, office machinery, etc.

· Will consistently operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.

· Reliable, consistent, and punctual attendance is required.

  • Must have camera on when attending all virtual meetings
  • Must have constant access to internet with a direct, wired connection
  • The noise level in the office environment is typically moderate.

Salary : $53,400 - $67,600
