Position:

Field Supervisor

We are an experienced team of hard-working and focused operations, installation and service professionals, who partner with the nation’s leading Solar providers to install residential solar PV projects. HE is currently seeking a Field Supervisor (FS). The FS is a field leadership position covering multiple 6-9 solar photovoltaic installation crews. The FS is responsible for ensuring assigning crews and installers to preassigned jobs, as well as the Efficiency and organization of the field within the assigned territories. The FS is responsible for day-to-day success, motivation, management, and training of the crews in the field on a daily basis.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with HR to increase or decrease construction capacity as needed.
  • Ensure the efficient execution of the construction schedule.
  • Organize and optimize crew structure and work schedule for highest productivity.
  • Conduct pre-construction project reviews to determine resource requirements of the project.
  • Review upcoming jobs with crew leads so that the crew understands the job in terms.
  • Set allotted times for each install.
  • Maintain communication with crews on job sites and ensure effective and timely responses to our partners to ensure that time frames and other project requirements are being complied with.
  • Control field OT.
  • Clearly understand and communicate HE Key Performance Indicator (KPI) targets and results.
  • Review crew KPIs and provide feedback and performance management for field staff and report to Executive Team on daily or weekly basis as needed.
  • Ensure cleanliness of all areas of crew work. Assist in the training all installers on safety, quality, customer service, efficiency and administrative responsibilities.
  • Conduct weekly crew meetings to ensure the proper use of electrical safety practices, fall protection and PPE.
  • Demonstrate competency and confidence in leading mechanical and electrical work on both roof and ground mounted solar projects.
  • Assist on project installations ensuring their successful completion as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3 years of construction experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Maintain knowledge of Electrical and General Construction codes, and act as the construction Subject Matter Expert for the territory.
  • Must maintain a clean driving record with the ability to pass a driving background check.
  • Excellent motivation and discipline if necessary.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Operationally focused; detailed-oriented but able to grasp big picture.
  • Strong time management skills Knowledge of the NEC and applicable codes and standards.
  • MUST HAVE Solar knowledge
  • Hands on Solar Experience preferred but not required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Be able to work in various positions, including, but not limited to: stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling and squatting for extended periods of time.
  • Be able to lift, pull and push materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks.
  • Be able to lift 50 pounds of weight frequently throughout assigned workday.
  • Ability to tolerate and work in outdoor weather conditions.
  • Ability to work for extended periods of time on surfaces of various heights and angles.
