Job Description

Job Title: QuickBooks Application Administrator

 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for supporting QuickBooks in the corporate environment, including:
    • User and role administration
    • QuickBooks application incident troubleshooting and resolution
    • Working with internal audit teams to gather required quarterly audit materials
    • Installation of QuickBooks application patches on a quarterly basis or shorter intervals, if needed
    • Installation and support of 3rd party applications for use with QuickBooks (positive pay, bank reconciliation, etc.)
    • QuickBooks version upgrades, as needed
  • Migration of locally installed QuickBooks company files to the corporate environment, as needed
  • Partner with vendors, contractors, and IT teams to implement projects and enhancements
  • Additional duties may include support for Workday ERP, EPM and best of breed business applications and modules for Finance and Accounting as needed.  Examples include Concur, Avalara and Visual Lease.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to define and realize functionality that provides operational improvements.
  • Design and configure applications to ensure successful implementation of new functionality and/or processes within project timelines.
  • Develop relationships and actively collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Understand business needs and translate into IT deliverables.
  • Support discussions and facilitate cross-team decision making.
  • Ensure exemplary performance and reliability of IT solutions.
  • Drive continuous improvement to drive effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Support the execution of respective Enterprise Application roadmaps across key business functions using agile methodologies.
  • Use a variety of techniques to understand business requirements, such as interviews, workshops, surveys, site visits, and storyboards.
  • Shape business requirements by making recommendations and suggesting alternatives to proposed solutions.
  • Translate conceptual user requirements into clear, detailed technical requirements.
  • Work with the accounting and finance team to prioritize requirements.
  • Identify and assist in prioritizing opportunities to streamline business processes.
  • Promote a collaborative team environment.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or the recognized equivalent in education and experience
  • 3-5 years of application management experience
  • Experience with support of ERP, EPM and best-of-breed business applications for Finance and Accounting is a plus
  • Professional, organized, and strong communicator
  • Familiarity with SDLC, Agile Methodology and change management process preferred

 

Technology:

  • Proficiency with Windows 10 and 11, including Windows Virtual Desktops.
  • Proficiency with installing, updating, troubleshooting, and maintaining Windows based applications.
  • Prior experience installing and supporting QuickBooks in a local and shared server environment is preferred.
  • Prior experience supporting Rynoh Live is a plus.
  • Strong ability to work directly with end users to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, including the use of remote access tools such as ScreenConnect or Microsoft Teams.
  • Experience with Workday Financials and other finance and accounting business applications, ERP and/or EPM is a plus.
  • Ability to quickly learn new technology and business applications.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint.
