Reports to the Executive Director/Program Director.
Approximately 25% of the position will be spent delivering direct services; 25% will be spent interacting with DCS staff for case staffing and consultation; 25% will be spent developing, delivering, and coordinating training; 15% will be spent collaborating with DCS, community partners, and DV advocates; and 10% will be spent in the collection of pertinent data and documentation.
Responsibilities
Facilitating conversations between the DCS Child Protective services team and HomeSafe Advocates to assist in the location of resources for families (i.e. non-offending caretaker/parent and child(ren))
Attending regular training to increase knowledge of DCS policy and protocol so as to more effectively assist advocates and clients in handling CPS referrals and ongoing DCS cases for children and families seeking assistance
Consulting with DCS case managers when additional support is needed
Attend in-home visits
Providing ongoing support to case managers in identifying safety and risk factors related to domestic violence in efforts to reduce removals; and maintaining regular communication and collaboration with the CPS team and HomeSafe advocates to ensure wrap-around services are identified, accessible, and utilized by children and families.
Ensure accurate, timely data collection and input to include appropriate documentation and record keeping.
Participating in all staff meetings, team meetings and other staffing activities.
Other duties as assigned.
Required qualifications include:
Minimum of two Years of experience working with survivors of family and/or intimate partner violence and in or with child welfare or related systems (e.g. family or juvenile court, CASA, etc)
An understanding of the intersectionality of child welfare and domestic violence.
A bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Social Work.
Excellent writing and oral presentation skills.
Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and deadlines. This includes: 1) a demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks, manage time, evaluate progress, and adjust activities to complete tasks for self, supervised staff, and with leadership; 2) ability to establish timelines and keep all relevant stakeholders informed of and in compliance; 3) self-motivated; and 4) ability to work independently.

You may be required to lift or move over 25 lbs.
Drive to various locations including schools, shelter, court, and community partners. Must have a valid driver's license.
Ability to work flexible hours that may include evenings or weekends.
