Job Posting for Area Program Manager at HomeShare Oregon

About HomeShare Oregon:

The mission of HomeShare Oregon is to expand access to affordable housing through homesharing. We believe that this is a direct way to prevent housing instability, foreclosure, and homelessness.

Founded in 2021, HomeShare Oregon is working hard to change the cultural norm around homesharing. We see homesharing as an immediate solution to our affordable housing crisis. We match homeowners who have a spare bedroom available to homeseekers who are looking for an affordable place to live. Connecting homeowners who have space to share with renters seeking affordable housing is a common sense, and immediately available response to prevent housing instability.

Our main goals are to culturally normalize homesharing and provide direct services to our participants. Seniors are the fastest growing unhoused population in the state, with women and BIPOC communities at the greatest risk of becoming displaced. We support homeowners and home-seekers throughout the homesharing process. By providing educational tools, resources, and support to interested homesharers, we effectively create another affordable housing option.
