What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dog Handler position at Homestead Hound?
Homestead Hound is a full service dog boarding and daycare facility. We are looking for a full time employee. The position requires someone with a positive attitude who is reliable, flexible, and detail-oriented, with a great work ethic and excellent communication skills. Dogs can easily be influenced by our body language and behavior, so an ideal candidate is someone who can stay calm, confident, and positive while working with the pack. The most important part of the job is all about the dogs, as we want to place great emphasis on social development of our dogs and make sure that they have a fun and enriching stay at Homestead Hound.
Daily tasks include:
- Feeding Dogs
- Supervising Play
- Cleaning
The job will require some weekend shifts, as well as some evening shifts ending at 9pm. Healthcare benefits included.
*Please note that the "shift time" of 7am-9pm are our hours of staffed operation and that we schedule a few different shift times during those hours - there will never be a full 7am-9pm shift.
