Job Description:

Facilities Manager, or Maintenance Manager, maintains and oversees a company’s grounds, buildings and equipment to ensure that a workspace is safe and functional. Their duties include negotiating contracts with service providers, inspecting facilities to meet safety regulations, coordinating renovations and updates, hiring, supervising and training maintenance personnel.

  • Delegating cleaning and maintenance tasks to team members.
  • Monitoring the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas, such as offices, conference rooms, parking lots and outdoor spaces.
  • Performing routine maintenance on facilities, grounds, and making repairs as needed.
  • Scheduling routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendors.
  • Ensuring proper security measures for the workplace remain in place through use of internal team members or security system vendors.
  • Maintaining day-to-day operations of facilities, such as delegating or completing maintenance orders.
  • Creating reports on maintenance, repairs, safety and other occurrences for supervisors and other relevant staff.
  • Preparing facilities for changing weather conditions.
  • Collaborating with building owners and upper management on budgeting for facilities needs
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date logs of environmental testing and compliance per Miami - Dade and EPA guidelines.
  • Maintains maintenance records for all company owned assets.
  • Maintains accurate records pertaining to monthly financial reconciliations.

CORE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform highly diversified duties to maintain and repair range utility vehicles and facility’s equipment.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of range equipment during operations hours and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of range equipment.
  • Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, troubleshooting, and repairs.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment.
  • Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
  • Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to your supervisor.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Handyman and/or maintenance experience required.
  • Basic understanding of utility vehicle maintenance and repair.
  • Minimal rough carpentry knowledge and knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
  • Prior supervision of a small team and organizing work schedules is a plus.
  • Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.
  • Good physical condition and strength.
  • Adaptable to ever changing work environment.
  • Must read, write and speak English. Spanish ability is a plus.
  • Must have an active driver’s license in order to drive a facility vehicle.

EDUCATION

  • High school or equivalent education is preferred.
  • Relevant experience will be considered in lieu of degree.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Continually required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, squat, stretch, kneel, climb, and balance.
  • Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited spaces.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 70 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.
  • Frequently required to communicate on walky-talky radio.
  • Frequently exposure to changing outside weather conditions, wet and/or humid conditions, exposure to extreme heat or cold.
  • Continually work near moving mechanical parts.

Ability to safely lift 70 pounds of weight.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
