Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist

Duties:
- Greet and check-in clients and their pets
- Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment calendar
- Answer phone calls and address client inquiries or concerns
- Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with various procedures
- Handle and restrain animals during examinations or treatments
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms and treatment areas
- Perform basic laboratory tests, such as blood draws or urinalysis
- Administer medications or treatments as directed by veterinarians
- Maintain accurate records of patient information, treatments, and medications
- Provide general pet care advice to clients, including grooming and nutrition

Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal care facility is preferred
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures is a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact with clients in a professional manner
- Ability to handle animals with care and compassion, including knowledge of animal handling techniques
- Familiarity with aseptic technique for maintaining cleanliness and preventing the spread of infection
- Basic understanding of laboratory procedures and ability to perform basic tests
- Knowledge of equine care is a bonus, but not required

Pay: $14.00 - $20.00 per hour
