We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Furniture Visual Merchandiser to join our retail furniture store team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for interior design, excellent organizational skills, and a keen eye for aesthetics. The primary responsibility of this role is to develop and implement furniture planograms that optimize the layout and presentation of our merchandise, ultimately enhancing the customer shopping experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute furniture planograms that align with store layout and design guidelines.
  • Collaborate with store management and product merchandising teams to understand inventory levels, product assortment, and promotional strategies.
  • Utilize CAD software or other design tools to create visual representations of furniture planograms.
  • Ensure that furniture planograms adhere to brand standards, product positioning, and visual merchandising best practices.
  • Regularly review and update furniture planograms based on sales performance, customer feedback, and seasonal trends.
  • Train store staff on furniture planogram implementation and maintenance procedures.
  • Conduct regular store walkthroughs to assess planogram effectiveness and make adjustments as needed.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to obtain necessary product information and imagery for planogram development.
  • Monitor competitor's furniture planograms and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist with store setup for new product launches, seasonal displays, and special events.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in visual merchandising, preferably within the furniture retail industry.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp) and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator).
  • Strong understanding of furniture design principles, space planning, and color coordination.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented with a creative mindset and a passion for interior design.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Knowledge of current retail trends and consumer preferences in the furniture industry.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Physical ability to lift and move furniture/fixtures as required.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $17.78 - $18.68 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
