HomeWorks Energy is looking for a Heating and Cooling Installer who wants stability, variety, and an opportunity to learn in the field. In this position, you will be working as a part of an installation team focusing on Furnaces, Boilers, and A/C solutions. Responsibilities
- Installation of high-efficiency heating and cooling equipment: Boilers, Furnaces, Central Air, Ductless Mini-Splits, and Hot Water
- Working with an installation team and assisting as needed
- Fabricate, assemble or install ductwork or chassis parts
- Assemble, position, and mount heating or cooling equipment following diagrams
- Join pipes or tubing to equipment for fuel, water or refrigerant source to form complete circuit or heating loops
- Cut or drill holes in floor/walls for installation of equipment. Measure, cut, thread, or bend pipe or tubing, using pipe fitter’s tools
- Install and adjust thermostats
- Adjust system controls, install auxiliary components to heating and cooling equipment, as well as connect all electrical components
- Test electrical safety circuits or components for continuity, using electrical test equipment
- Record as well as report all faults, deficiencies, and other unusual occurrences, as well as the time and materials expended to complete work orders
- Test pipe or tubing joints or connections for leaks, using pressure gauge or soap and water solution
- Ability to read wiring diagrams, or specifications, as well as manufacturers recommendations to ascertain the configuration of heating or cooling equipment components
- Reviewing specifications for new installation jobs with heating and cooling equipment
- Obtain/maintain required certifications
- On the job and Classroom training availability
Requirements
- Formal training and certification from an HVAC or Plumbing Training program
- Driver’s license & reliable transportation
- Refrigerant/EPA license
