Position Overview: as an IT Specialist your primary responsibility is to support the organization's computer systems, networks, and software applications. Collaborating closely with the IT team, you will contribute to the overall efficiency, security, and smooth operation of the IT infrastructure.
Essential Job Functions
1. Technical Support:
· Take a proactive stance in technical support, anticipating and addressing potential issues before they impact end-users.
· Provide responsive and effective first-line technical support, promptly resolving hardware and software issues.
2. Network Administration:
Assist with the maintenance and installation of network hardware.
3. Hardware and Software Maintenance:
· Install, configure, and upgrade computer hardware, software, and printers.
· Conduct regular maintenance to ensure systems and software are up-to-date.
· Order and replace printer supplies from CBS as required.
4. Security Management:
· Implement and maintain security measures to safeguard information and data. Monitor for security breaches and conduct regular security audits.
5. User Training:
Align with the training team to assist on developing trainings for software’s and other items related to IT.
6. Documentation:
· Maintain accurate records of IT-related processes, configurations, and issues.
· Create documentation for troubleshooting and user guides.
· Ensure up-to-date records of equipment configurations.
7. Collaboration:
· Work with other IT professionals (Freedom Tech), vendors, and department heads to implement IT solutions and address organizational needs.
· Collaborate with the IT team, HR, and other departments to streamline onboarding and offboarding procedures.
· Communicate effectively with relevant stakeholders to address equipment-related inquiries.
8. Technology Research:
· Stay informed about advancements in technology, recommend upgrades or new solutions to enhance the organization's IT capabilities.

9. Inventory Management:
· Maintain accurate records of IT equipment inventory.
· Track equipment assignments and maintain a centralized system for monitoring equipment status.
· Conduct regular audits to ensure equipment accountability and address discrepancies.
10. Onboarding & Offboarding:
· Order and set up IT equipment for new employees, including laptops, phones, and other necessary devices.
· Provide technical support and guidance to new hires during the onboarding process.
· Collaborate with HR to ensure a smooth integration of IT resources into the onboarding process.
· Develop and execute a comprehensive offboarding process for departing employees, including the secure retrieval of IT equipment.
· Coordinate with HR and other relevant departments to ensure timely offboarding procedures.
· Conduct data wiping and ensure the secure disposal of data on retired devices.
Required Skills and Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
· Proven experience as an IT Specialist or in a similar role.
· Knowledge of hardware, software, networking, and security protocols.
· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
