About this Position:

Developing and executing product and business strategy in a world of rapid technological and social change requires a highly capable, highly knowledgeable, and highly engaged team. Sustainability & Business Development is tasked with navigating the path for Honda's future Connected, Autonomous, Shared, Electric, and Energy products, services, and businesses with a focus on environmental sustainability. The team will focus on building and sustaining Honda's core brand values and enhancing brand image and competitiveness in the marketplace by innovating, incubating, selecting, developing, applying, and operating new businesses, features, products, and services with responsibility for their profitability, competitiveness, and customer satisfaction for Honda in North America.

This analyst role is responsible for business and technical decisions in researching, developing, and applying new EV Charging and Energy solutions in the market, This position is tasked with the development and daily execution of a New Energy Business and EV Charging Solutions to provide new revenue streams to AHM and new value to our vehicle customer through AC Charger hardware (EVSE) sales, digital online sales, charging incentive of electric vehicles in support of Honda's 2030 Vision (Mobility, Robotics, and Energy).

Focusing on future energy buisness, as well as regulatory compliance supporting the operation and providing new value to the Customer, the Dealer, and AHM , the associate leads and supports tasked plans, executes, and reports on all planning and business aspects of the energy business. Executing on responsibility is a mandatory requirement to adhere to AHM's compliance requirements and manage the sustainability of the businesses. This requires frequent coordination and review of wide-ranging information, along with regular communication with external business partners providers, HM, Product Planning, Service, Quality, Sales, Finance, HNA Law, and other pertinent business units.

Responsibilities include:

* Support the Project leader to conduct research for EVSE business opportunities including extensive market research and competitor research. Show strong passion and initiative with deep understanding in charging infrastructure, provide clear guidance to Honda companies (RO/GO) for electrification future.

* Support the proposal development and obtain approval of a financially sustainable business model. This includes financial and term negotiation and legal agreement execution with selected vendors. Must propose for final executive approval in a time-sensitive market launch to maximize operational profit.

* Support the administration and implementations of approved business lines for successful launch. Must ensure customer facing experience is best-in-class, as well as ensuring quick resolution of launch issues. Create an operational acceptance criteria to push the assigned projects into a standardized, normal business operation for AHM.

* Lead administration of creating, updating and maintaining required documentation for clear operation by the operation team. Required documentaion must clear necessary regulatory, compliance clearances, as well as legal approval.

Who we are seeking:

Required Work Experience:

* Minimum of 2 years of related automotive IT or connected service development experience, ideally in planning, telematics or engineering.

* Experience with FERC, PUCS, CEC, or related regulatory agencies in policy and/or technical regulation areas is preferred

* 1 years of experience leading a project team

* Experience with complex IT projects (app, server, partner) development

Required Education:

* BA/BS in engineering, marketing, market research, business or equivalent work experience

Desired skills:

* Excellent planning, negotiating, analytical and presentation skills

* Basic understanding of business model development required

* Technical orientation and understanding is preferred

* Knowledge of Honda operations - planning, R&D, manufacturing, sales, quality, services and understanding is preferred

* PC proficiency with MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)

* Function in an agile project team as a product owner/LPL, Scrum Mater/ALPL, or person-in-charge of a functional area for a project

Additional Position Factors:

* 40% desk work using laptop and phone, including conference calls, communicating, reading and responding to emails, reading contracts, etc

* 35% meetings

* 20% preparing for and reporting to management

* 75% remote/25% office

* Competitive Base Salary: $58,900 - $100,500

* Pay will be based on several variables that include, but not limited to geographic location, work experience, education, etc.
