General Summary:
The risk manager is responsible for coordinating the management of business, human resources, financial, safety, security and other risks for the Honda Aircraft Company. You will collaborate with teams to find ways to manage and reduce risks through planning and problem solving. Risk managers are in charge of activities such as risk assessment for current company activities or risk evaluation using company standards. Insures compliance to the Honda Aircraft Company confidentiality policy.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify business, human resources, financial, safety, security risks and others that Honda Aircraft Company may face
- Coordinate action plans to decrease risk factors
- Manages confidential information in support of risk mitigation
- Perform risk evaluation using company standard processes
- Prepare a risk-management reports and communicate to the Risk Management Officer periodically
- Make risk-avoiding adjustments to current methods of operation in order to minimize their future risks
- Lead a cross functional team in identifying and managing risks
- Foster a culture that embraces risk management by encouraging the identification of risks
Education, Work Experience, Certification and/or Licensure:
- Bachelor's degree in business, management, engineering or other related field from a four year college or university
- 5 years minimum Risk Management experience
- Professional Risk Manager (PRM) certification preferred
- Graduate level degree is beneficial
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Aerospace industry knowledge
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and spoken
- Advanced computer, data entry and MS Office skills
- Strong analytical skills are required
- Strong working knowledge of risk management and previous experience working with risk (i.e. risk assistant or risk analyst)
- Excellent executive presentation skills
- Provide training for organizational staff so that they can be aware of risks and try to avoid them and manage them
- Ability to handle private, sensitive, and confidential information appropriately
- You pay strong attention to detail and organization
- Solid research skills using the internet and first-person interviews
- Ability to act independently with minimum level of supervision
Physical Requirements:
- Incumbents may be routinely exposed to equipment operational noise heat-cold-dust, and/or aircraft equipment, parts, or fuel odors.
- Incumbents may be required to stand, sit, squat, walk, bend, climb ladders, move, reach, or stretch for prolonged time periods with no restrictions, as required by job duties.
- Work in a safe and professional manner while adhering to all regulatory requirements (FAA, OSHA, DOT, EPA, State, and Federal regulations, etc.).
- Read, hear, speak, and see with no restrictions, as required by job duties.
- Comprehend and adhere to management directions and/or safety instructions with no restrictions.
- Effectively communicate in Business English language.
- Pull, push, carry, lift, or move items up to 10 lbs. throughout the work shift without assistance, as required by job duties.
- Pull, push, carry, lift or move materials/people/items/equipment weighing up to 50lbs or more during the work shift, with the use of Company provided "reach assistance technology" or "movement assist technology" (fork-lifts, pallet jacks, pulleys, dolly's, robotics reach equipment, people movers etc.), as required by job duties.
