The Advanced Field Service Engineer will provide reliable on-site technical assistance to internal and external customers in the material handling industry. You will perform modifications, upgrades and troubleshooting on existing equipment as well as installation and commissioning of new equipment. You will focus on accuracy, timely feedback and customer satisfaction. You will drive timely identification, investigation, resolution, root cause analysis and replication of technical issues. You will use your influence to expedite complicated cases. You will develop broad understanding of customer needs and product offerings. You will drive the knowledge-sharing mindset, methodology, and tools. You will ensure proper documenting and recording of all activity and communication. You will perform all activities to company safety standards.
This position is based remotely with 100% travel throughout the Midwest states from Michigan down to KY and from OH to NE and occasionally nationwide.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Facilitate issue identification, analysis, investigation, and resolution of technical issues
- Provide informal technical training and build relationships with customers
- Use Electrical and Mechanical skillset to test equipment using tools and software
- Occasionally work alone but develop and share knowledge within a team
