The Advanced Mfg Engineer Sr will use advanced knowledge of manufacturing engineering fundamentals to help Honeywell Aerospace in Redmond, Washington to deliver innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers. You will work under general supervision and alongside some of the world's most talented engineers. You will influence the development of Honeywell's next generation of navigation products supporting new products from concept development through the start of production for manufacturing cost, yield, and schedule execution. You will be part of a group of highly committed professionals who support current product value engineering and the optimization of the manufacturing process while mentoring more junior engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Professionally collaborate with various functional teams to ensure new product is producible
- Prepare or update reports and documentation
- Drive actions to incorporate improvements from legacy product yield and escape defects
- Analyze product cost and drive actions to meet cost target
- Participate in early supplier engagement and drive supplier feedback into design
- Use analytical tools and theories
- Plan, lead and execute new development projects as the focal for all things manufacturing
- Identify issues, analyze, and drive actions to resolve
- Develop new techniques and analytical tool
- Influence design and leadership using data to drive producibility improvements
YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- 5 years in manufacturing engineering
- Must be a U.S. Citizen due to contractual requirements
WE VALUE
- 2 years knowledge/experience with printed board assembly processes and troubleshooting
- 2 years experience with electronic assembly integration, test, and troubleshooting
- Significant knowledge of the field's standards and specifications
- Expert Computer literacy
- Ability to focus on important information and identify key details
- Application of advanced engineering techniques to optimize manufacturing processes
- Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision
- Willingness to consistently take the initiative to get things done
