Expected Pay Range: $50,000 - $60,000/Year
The Expense Analyst works closely with the Financial Analyst to facilitate the review and processing of corporate credit card expenses and reimbursable employee expenses.
Duties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions
- Review Daily Credit Card Transaction (100 ).
- Reviewing Expense Classifications submitted by employees.
- Reviewing Project/Department Classifications submitted by employees.
- Reviewing Receipts for Credit Card Transactions submitted by employees.
- Investigation of purchases for Projects/Departments for accurate classification.
- Communication with Employees for Past Due Submissions.
- Creating Center Reports with different categories for daily, weekly, monthly review.
- Assist in processing credit card expenses in Center (credit card expense system).
- Assist in processing employee reimbursable expenses in Center.
- Communicating with employees via email, teams, and telephone for expense submission questions.
- Perform duties related to record keeping and tracking of information.
- Recommend fiscally advantageous methods to save money.
- Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
- Ability to Track spending trends for Jobsite and Departments.
- Audit accounts for errors, management analysis, fraud, and waste.
- Report financial information to management and supervisors.
- Identify and investigate variances with proper documentation.

Work Environment
This position operates in a professional office environment, facility, and field environments. We operate 24/7/365, inside and outside, in all weather conditions. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, smart phones, tablets, photocopiers, filing cabinets and other presentation materials. There is an expectation of clear communication in English both written and orally.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Ability to twist, turn, bend, lift, kneel, climb and stand. Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs. may occur. Employee will be required to travel in automobile and/or aircraft.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Full Time – 40 hours per week. This position is based Remotely. The ability to work flexible hours including nights, holidays, and weekends is required based on contract needs.

Required Education and Experience
- Associates degree (or equivalent) is required.
- 3 years’ experience performing accounting functions is required and must include:
- Experience with federal government contracts or subcontracts is desired.
- Demonstrated experience with T&E software is required.
- Experience using Microsoft Office, including experience with Excel, is required.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance (if applicable)
- Must be able to travel within the Continental United States (CONUS)
- Must pass a drug test, motor vehicle record check, and a background check upon accepting a conditional offer of employment.
- Must possess a valid driver's license. Have/maintain a clean driving record.
