Job Description
Provide Quality Control Inspection support for Honeywell Aerospace while partnering with manufacturing teams and leaders. You will ensure that quality in being maintained in all factors involved in production.
• Performs visual & dimensional inspections on aircraft components & subassemblies that have been in service in accordance with repair manuals and other forms of technical data.
• Exercises knowledge of repair methods & practices to assign work scope to non-serviceable parts to return them to serviceable condition. Hands-on experience working with sheetmetal or machining processes highly desirable.
• Monitors discrepancy data and collaborate with Repair Process Engineering to refine inspection techniques and drive process improvements and reduce defects.
• Must understand geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (Symbols and applications).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketch sheets, routings, technical data, and FAA maintenance manuals.
• Knowledge of inspection techniques and hardware, familiarity with metrological techniques and applications, including but not limited to: Micrometers, Depth Mics, Verniers, Vertical and horizontal drop indicators, Height gages, O.D. & I.D. testers, O.D. & I.D. air gages, Go/no-go gages, Telescopic gages.
• Experience with optical comparator or curvic inspection and tooling preferred.
Shift hours: 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM
