Summary:
The Senior Software Engineer in Test Engineering provides support of highly technical and advanced software processes typically requiring specialized qualifications, knowledge and/or skill and is the recognized authority within area of expertise with wide versatility of experience and capability.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs project planning and manages project resources, including multiple individuals and disciplines
- Conducts research and development experiments to resolve complex engineering and quality problems
- Writes technical reports on results and conclusions drawn from experiments conducted.
- Performs design, coding, debugging, testing and troubleshooting throughout the application development process on tester systems
- Regularly offers solutions to significant technical problems
- Applies expertise in software engineering principles, technologies, methods, tools, and processes, to eliminate barriers to successful project completion
- Recognized as an emerging authoritative expert in the field of Software Engineering, with wide versatility of experience and capability
- Acts as a mentor to junior level software engineers
- Interact with external customers in order to facilitate the completion of projects to customer specifications
- Evaluates and implements innovations and technological advances that improve quality, reduce flowtime, improve productivity, and enhance operational surety
- Conducts activities in a safe and healthy manner
You Must Have:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or other equivalent ABET accredited Engineering program and 6 years of experience
- Application of advanced engineering principles and technology related to highly complex technical assignments
- Demonstrated experience in project leadership
