Summary:

The Senior Software Engineer in Test Engineering provides support of highly technical and advanced software processes typically requiring specialized qualifications, knowledge and/or skill and is the recognized authority within area of expertise with wide versatility of experience and capability.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs project planning and manages project resources, including multiple individuals and disciplines
• Conducts research and development experiments to resolve complex engineering and quality problems
• Writes technical reports on results and conclusions drawn from experiments conducted.
• Performs design, coding, debugging, testing and troubleshooting throughout the application development process on tester systems
• Regularly offers solutions to significant technical problems
• Applies expertise in software engineering principles, technologies, methods, tools, and processes, to eliminate barriers to successful project completion
• Recognized as an emerging authoritative expert in the field of Software Engineering, with wide versatility of experience and capability
• Acts as a mentor to junior level software engineers
• Interact with external customers in order to facilitate the completion of projects to customer specifications
• Evaluates and implements innovations and technological advances that improve quality, reduce flowtime, improve productivity, and enhance operational surety
• Conducts activities in a safe and healthy manner

You Must Have:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or other equivalent ABET accredited Engineering program and 6 years of experience
• Application of advanced engineering principles and technology related to highly complex technical assignments
• Demonstrated experience in project leadership
