The future is what you make it.

When you join Honeywell, you become a member of our global team of thinkers, innovators, dreamers and doers who make the things that make the future. We are a team of innovators who strive to make the future of aerospace smarter, safer, and more sustainable.

That means changing the way we fly, fueling jets in an eco-friendly way, keeping buildings smart and safe and even making it possible to breathe on Mars.

Working at Honeywell isn’t just about developing cool things. At Honeywell, our approach is simple.  We hire talented people, nurture their growth, give them opportunities to make a difference, and promote from within.

Are you ready to help us make the future?

  • Our vision is to be the premier world-class organization innovating value-added Communication, Navigation, and Surveillance products that delight our customers and ensure safe and efficient flight.
  • Our mission is to rapidly create cost-effective leading-edge products delivering safety, flight efficiency, connectivity, and services to our Aerospace clients and the flying public.

The Navigational Radios – Radar Altimeters is an engineering group with the Communication, Navigation & Surveillance organization in which this System Engineer role is included – with products spread across both commercial and defense domains. While part of a large company and diverse organization, the NavRadio-Radar Altimeter group operates very much like a small business in many ways. We are fully integrated every aspect of a product’s life cycle – from working with a customer on a concept and subsequent proposal, through development, verification, production, and even obsolescence refreshes.

  • Provide support to existing programs and as skills develops operate more independently on tasks/programs
  • Develop requirements and system architecture – perform trade studies
  • Design to meet requirements (discipline dependent)
  • Test and validate designs – in prototype phase and for formal compliance – on bench, at off-site test facilities, and flight testing with both Honeywell and customer
  • Draft respective program artifacts, inclusive of items such as systems requirement document, test procedures and reports, white papers, etc.
  • Provide support to devices in production
  • “Jump in” and support other team members when/where needed
