The Exp Logistics Associate reports to the Logistics Supervisor and will be responsible for the following:
· Prepare various shipping documents such as bills of lading, air freight bills and export papers, extracting required information from sales orders.
· Advise the Sales team of shipments on-hold and resolve questionable matters with Finance, Sales and Shipping teams.
· Contact transportation companies to schedule freight pick-up.
· Date, pull and match original orders to shop copies for billing by Finance team.
· Calculate shipping costs, insurance and fuel surcharges for all UPS shipments.
· Enter UPS orders in the system and apply freight to prepaid orders.
· Enter shipping information into computer system.
· Prepare Canadian paperwork for UPS and truck shipments.
· Perform clerical duties in support of the
· Production Office such as work order time sheets into computer system and other duties as assigned.
· Freight bill approvals.
· Hazmat and Dangerous Goods Shipment issues.
· Assist in developing logistics plans and procedures.
· Ensures customer and corporate requirements are met
