Assists the Branch Manager with analyzing and reviews branch profitability and growth performance reports to assist in creating branch strategies and plans to achieve assigned annual goals. Assists in setting annual branch and individual goals and creating plans and strategies to attain them.

Maintains professional expertise and keeps up-to-date with industry standards, trends, and regulatory requirements through continuous learning; recommends changes to Branch Manager and assists in coordinating and facilitating change as necessary.

Performs branch relief functions based on business need and at the discretion of the Branch Manager/Director of Retail Delivery.

Assists the Branch Manager in the management and growth of the branch SEG program. Participates in SEG service visits to achieve member retention, new membership, and cross-selling goals. Serves as alternate branch liaison to assigned SEGs. Helps develop and implement business plans for increased branch production and growth.

Assist the Branch Manager with management of all employees in the section including staffing and scheduling, performance management, training and development. Monitors staff performance and attendance, conducts timely progress reviews and performance goals, and oversees staff compliance to policies and procedures. Goal is to attract retain and motivate the team to achieve management business objectives and maintain a favorable employee relations climate.

Assist the Branch Manager with coordinating the activities of the staff to ensure that established goals, objectives and member services are met and ensure adequate staffing. Provides supervision, guidance and training to staff on policies and procedures and as needed. Gives feedback on formal employee reviews, monitors staff performance and provides constructive feedback for continued improvement and growth.

Mentors staff in sales/referrals financial programs and services and demonstrates excellent sales techniques and knowledge of products, including, but not limited to, identifying member needs and interests and cross selling appropriate products.

Provides guidance, direction and back-up support to staff in all aspects of day-to-day operations of the branch and in resolving problems and handling complex situations.

Recommends and implements operational solutions and improvements. Manages operational controls and security measures within established policies and guidelines, including, but not limited to:

- Dual custody audits for currency and other negotiable instruments;

- Dual control of change fund from armored car service and distribution to and securing of cash dispense machines and currency safe;

- Dual control of the security and protection of the safe and safe contents, including, but not limited to, member records, files, and negotiable items;

- Maintenance of branch office facilities and equipment, including management of facility vendors, to ensure member and staff comfort and security.

Manages compliance requirements including, but not limited to, timely submission of Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs). Ensures adherence to compliance procedures and updates as needed.

Oversees daily and monthly branch audits and reporting to ensure accurate and timely completion.

Builds relationships with members to understand their financial needs and goals to cross-sell the credit union's products. Provides financial counseling and education to applicants and members on financial status, conditions and goals. Evaluates and review members’ delinquent accounts to establish financial recovery goals and commitments. Establishes money management programs and economic and financial plans for members.

Conducts complete and thorough analysis of nonmortgage loan applications. Follows established loan policies, procedures and guidelines, including, but not limited to, application review, review of credit reports, approval/denial process, property/vehicle transactions, and loan disbursements.

Promotes benefits of credit union products, services, and business philosophies to members to establish a top-of-mind presence and recognition as a primary financial institution.

License:

Licensed Notary Public or complete after hire.

Education: 2-4 years post-secondary education from an accredited educational institution with 4 years progressive combined experience in supervisory and lending, financial services, bank operations or comparable industry. Alternate experience includes high school diploma, GED, or similar approved diploma program i.e. CBCDSP and 5-6 years of progressive lending, financial services, bank operations or equivalent work-related experience.

Experience: 4 years combined management/supervisory and lending, financial services or bank operations experience. Very good knowledge of banking products, transaction services and operations. Very good knowledge of financial institution regulations such as anti-money laundering, Bank Secrecy Act and applicable laws and regulatory requirements for consumer banking preferred. Demonstrated sales and relationship management, financial counseling and strong service skills.

Technical: Proficiency in personal computers, including Microsoft Office software, including, Outlook, Internet Explorer, Word and Excel. Ability to develop usage of credit union or financial services systems. Proficient mathematical accuracy and sales, financial and budget analysis and reporting preferred.

Other: Experience and demonstrated ability building strong working relationships and partnerships across the organization with a collaborative and consultative approach. Very good execution to identify and resolve problems, identify process improvement opportunities, implement change and establish internal controls. Experience and ability to lead, mentor, team build and establish a strong sales and service culture. Attention to detail and organization to prioritize and meet deadlines. Very good communication skills, including verbal, written and listening, to all levels of staff and customers, with tact and diplomacy. Excellent customer service and team skills. Must demonstrate commitment, dependability and respect for other employees.

Working conditions: Air-conditioned office. Requires use of a personal computer and other standard office equipment (typewriter, fax, copier, calculator, telephone and postage meter). Additional equipment include, but not limited to, card reader, signature pad, cash dispenser and check signer. Must be able to work flexible hours to include, evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary.

Physical: Sitting/standing for continuous periods up to four (4) hours. Use of vision, hearing, speech, and working with hands. Moving and lifting up to 25 pounds. Must be able to provide own ground transportation and arrive at intended destination in a timely manner and/or as required. May require a valid driver’s license.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
