2nd Shift Custodian
Reports To: Director of Building and Grounds
Exemption Status: Non-exempt
Position Summary: Maintain a clean and safe learning environment for all staff, students, and visitors.
Qualifications:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent
2. Physically able to perform the duties independently and in an acceptable time frame
3. Ability to read basic operating instructions
4. Ability to complete work independently
5. Physically able to lift objects weighing 50 pounds or more independently
6. Ability to choose or select chemicals properly and understand related safety procedures
7. Ability to work well with people
Terms of Employment:
1. Twelve (12) month contract
2. Eight (8) hours per day
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Clean and maintain a safe building.
2. Clean and sanitize bathrooms.
3. Clean, mop, wash, buff, and vacuum floors.
4. Empty trash.
5. Clean windows.
6. Clean, dust and/or move furniture.
7. Follow assigned cleaning schedule.
8. Remove snow or ice from sidewalks and doorways as requested by supervisor.
9. Perform outside clean-up as requested by supervisor.
10. Perform set-up and tear-downs for special activities.
11. Unload material from trucks as needed; inspect items for damages or defects; verify shipping list against goods delivered.
12. Assemble and repair items with or without hand held power tools.
13. Install items with or without hand held power tools.
14. Report building maintenance needs to supervisor.
15. Keep current with best practices and requirements as they relate to the job.
16. Perform such other job related duties and assume such other professional responsibilities as your supervisor may assign.
17. Represent Hononegah Community High School in a professional manner.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $16.17 per hour
