Job Description:
- Apply technical knowledge in the design, application, and procurement of mechanical equipment. Individual will ensure the Work Process Discipline (WPD) is used on capital projects to provide the design activities necessary for the construction and maintenance of process plants
- Applies knowledge of mechanical equipment and systems, applicable codes and standards to ensure the most effective design in compliance with client Safety and Loss Prevention principles, industry standards and local codes and regulations is obtained.
Key Activities:-
- Creates technical specifications, prepare procurement inquiry packages, technically evaluate bids, and issue order packages for equipment.
- Assists in developing and reviewing equipment process specifications.
- Develop and/or review job instructions, drawings, and installation details for construction packages.
- Applies knowledge of mechanical equipment and systems, applicable codes and standards to ensure the most effective design in compliance with client Safety and Loss Prevention principles, industry standards and local codes and regulations is obtained.
- Coordinates the input of supplier design data including equipment drawings and specs into the overall project design.
- Coordinates additional discipline requirements into the design of equipment.
- Participates in equipment inspections and testing.
- Develops detailed mechanical equipment installation and operation instructions.
- Provides technical support during construction and operation of facility.
- Establish project standards; provide technical support of project work
- Develop a full understanding of the project scope and procedures
- Continue development of his/her technical personal knowledge, skills, and potential.
- Ability to work/ coordinate with internal and external teams
Qualifications:-
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
- 10 plus years working on capital projects.
- Previous experience in the following types of projects: Continuous liquid process, Batch liquid process, and/or Solids Handling process.
- Working knowledge of industry codes and standards: ASME standards, API Standards, HI Standards and other mechanical engineering related industry standards.
- Strong work ethic, works independently and team-oriented skills.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills are required.
- Proficiency in MS Office required, and ABE (Zyqad) and Adept preferred
