Title: Scientist II/III
Location: South San Francisco, CA
Duration: 12 months
Description:
1. Deploy the latest in multimodal single cell and next-generation sequencing (NGS) technologies on preclinical and clinical trial patient samples to drive target discovery, rational combinations, and identification of novel therapeutic avenues
2. Aid in the development of cutting-edge single cell approaches and genomics technologies to reveal emerging mechanisms of efficacy and resistance, and enable in-depth understanding and novel insights into fundamental human pathophysiology
3. Participate in and contribute to team and department meetings, and effectively collaborate with researchers across different departments and functions.
4. Publish scientific results in high-quality journals
Qualifications:
- The successful candidate will hold degrees in Cell / Molecular / Cancer Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology, Biological / Chemical Engineering, or related disciplines:
- Scientist II: BA/BS or MS degree(s), with 2-6 years of experience
- Scientist III: BA/BS, MS, or PhD degree(s), with combined 6 years of experience
- Substantial expertise and hands-on laboratory research experience with multimodal single cell technologies and NGS platforms
- Intimate knowledge and familiarity with sample dissociation methodologies of fresh and fixed tissues for downstream single cell/nucleus genomics applications
- A proven track record of scientific productivity, as evidenced by authorship in and/or substantial contributions to impactful publications
- Possess a thoughtful and meticulous approach to experimental design and execution, and bring scientific rigor and creativity to problem solving
- Excellent communication skills, and the ability to demonstrate effectiveness and growth
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively across franchises and functions

Pay: $50.00 - $70.00 per hour
