Senior Technical Specialist

Position: Senior Technical Specialist
Location: Sacramento, CA  95811   ( Onsite)
Duration: 6 months
 
Scope of this project:-

• Business analysis/Test support for enterprise applications
• Lead analysis and design efforts for enhancing various enterprise system(s) and sub-systems(s).
• Facilitate and lead Joint Application Requirements (JAR) and Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions with customer representatives, developers, testers, and other technical staff to ensure the customer's needs are being met.
• Create and maintain business requirements document, design artifacts and requirements traceability matrix.

Monthly/Weekly Written Status Report:-
• Assist test personnel with the development of test scenarios and scripts.
• Execute test scenarios and scripts, track, and document defects.
• Develop and provide test results for review.
• Collaborate with various IT and program area staff to triage defects and issues.
0Knowledge Transfer:-
• Contractor will provide knowledge transfer of the change requests, associated design documentation and test scripts.
• Knowledge transfer to occur via collaborative documentation, code commenting, cross training, and job shadowing.
• Knowledge transfer to take place at CalPERS via regular scheduled meetings and review of documentation
• Documentation to include best practices and lessons learned.
 
Minimum Qualifications:-

• Five (5) years' (within the last 10 years) in project work and technical writing to include: detailed analysis, development and maintenance of business requirements, technical requirements, use cases and design documents.
• Five (5) years' experience (within the last 10 years) in project work in the Business Progress Reengineering (BPR) arena; at least three (3) years of said experience must have been mapping the current state of a business process and analyzing the business process to find gaps.
• Five (5) years' (within the last 10 years) experience in project work in facilitating Joint Application Requirements (JAR) and Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions with project Subject Matter Experts and other technical staff.
• Must have a minimum of three (3) years (within the last 5 years) of experience in Oracle 11g writing and troubleshooting SQL code to design back-end queries for data set-up and verification.
• Five (5) years' (within the last 10 years) experience performing system test duties; writing scripts, executing scripts, creating test cases and test data, reviewing test results; also assisting with User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) dashboards and BI reports in Power BI Platform.
• Experience with testing of software deployments/components in the cloud (Azure or AWS)
• Experience working with public pension systems or experience with Governmental Retirement Benefits and Health Programs functions.
