What are the responsibilities and job description for the Host/Hostess position at Honu Oceanside?
We are looking for a Host/Hostess to cheerfully greet guests upon arrival. Engage with guests and walk to table assigned. Hand guests menus and depart with a fond farewell. Using proper verbiage answer all phone calls when appropriate and assist with reservations and questions. Organize front desk and keep retail items neat and organized. Honu Oceanside is closed on Sundays.
Responsibilities
- Organize floor plan through OpenTable
- Assign sections for servers and bartenders
- Clean menus
- Maintain cleanliness at front desk and restrooms
- Organize retail items
Experience
- Work experience as a reservationist, host, front desk or administration agent
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends, evenings and holidays
- Understanding of hygiene and formal dress code
- Physical ability and stamina to stand for long hours
- Ability to multitask and remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
- Degree in hospitality or restaurant management is a plus
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
